I would not mind the cleaning trolley and dustpan toys if they did not seem to be marketed only to girls (Disney princess theme, pink plastic, etc.) We should not see cleaning as something only for females. Similar toys aimed at both boys and girls are fine. In fact, my son has been helping mom and dad vacuum with one of these for years now, in a nice manly shade of blue. He recently handed these items down to my nephew.

The comment in the picture caption about wanting to grow up to clean toilets bothered me a bit. I don't like to denigrate honest lines of work. Sure, those jobs may not be what parents hope for, but they are still important for the functioning of most office buildings and other work sites.

Baby Alive might be pretty messy, but so are real babies.

Otherwise, I have to agree with the criticism of the other items on the list.

And I thought they had recalled the Sky Dancer toys years ago. Are these new ones redesigned to reduce the risk of injury?
